Mr. Huang is a qualified Chinese Patent Attorney having practiced intellectual property law for nearly 13 years. He holds a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Tsinghua University. He also studied courses related to intellectual property and capitalization at the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University.
Mr. Huang is one of the few Chinese patent attorneys who have acquired in-depth knowledge of and even hands-on experience with U.S. and European intellectual property matters. In 2009, Mr. Huang undertook comprehensive training in U.S. patent law at the Morgan Lewis firm in the U.S.; and in 2010, selected and sponsored by the All-China Patent Agents Association, Mr. Huang received practical training in European patent law from one of Europe´s largest intellectual property law firms which is located in Munich, Germany.
In the earlier days of his patent-attorney career, Mr. Huang worked with a prominent intellectual property law firm in Beijing, China, for 5 years, where he mainly served international clients from Europe, U.S.A., Japan, and Korea with respect to their patent procurement and enforcement in China.
Later on, advancing his career by moving to another law firm in Beijing, where he acted as partner, Mr. Huang expanded his legal practice to cover not only patent prosecution and litigation, but also corporate consulting particularly related to strategic matters such are portfolio management for core technologies, infringement analysis and patent circumvention, evaluation of standard-related patents, licensing and transfer strategy development, due diligence, etc.
Mr. Huang´s technical expertise covers mechanical engineering, physics, material science, metallurgy, semiconductor, and electromechanical engineering.
